Mama Hope’s Mostly Healthy Oat Bars

Here’s a recipe for some yummy but healthy oat bars. My 12-year-old son loves them, and they’re packed with immune-boosting brain food too!
I use cashews, since my son is allergic to every other type of nut, but of course you can substitute any type of nut you’d like. I’ve also done them with chocolate chips!

Toxic Exposure and Children — How Bad Is It?

When you have children, it’s important to stay informed about their potential exposure to environmental toxins and chemical additives. Last year, a coalition of environmental groups measured chemicals in the blood and urine of 35 Americans from across the country and found that all participants contained flame retardants and 95 percent contained chemicals commonly found in plastics.
